Happy Accidents for 2012?
I was able to do 21 weekly Happy Accidents’ posts, and I am extremely proud of that. I don’t know why, but after rereading them, it feels great to know that there were actual, tangible things that made me happy last year.
Some were silly, like liking a particular brand of gum. Some were sweet, like when someone embodies being a knight in shining armor. I guess that was what I picked up from doing this little experiment was that no matter how frustrating or annoying your week was, one happy moment is just waiting to happen. I truly believe that now. I have 21 posts to prove it. And they may be trivial things, they may even be grand gestures. In the end, you end up smiling.
I wanted to continue doing Happy Accidents for 2012, but I wanted to put more effort into it, you know? Like, adding links to songs and stuff (believe me, for me that takes a lot of effort, haha)
So the Happy Accidents portion of this blog lives on!
And I know people might not respond to the posts in any way, but… that’s okay :)
- Four day weekends (hallelujah for American holidays!)
- Black Friday (one person at American Eagle Outfitters told me my outfit was cute, heh)
- Sleeping for more than 10 hours.
- Recording a song for my sick friend in the Philippines so he can *sort of* feel better.
- Finally learning how to cook an omelette.
Happy Accidents #20
1. Getting presents from the best people (wasn’t able to take pictures of the others, but here are some!) that made my heart swell about a hundred times bigger.

This person actually surprised me with this. I can’t help but smile everytime I think about it.

From my younger brother.

Cake! :)

Birthday present for myself. The fabric is actually corduroy, instead of the usual canvas. The shoestrings are different too.
2. Playing Sonic the Hedgehog when I can:

3. The Lion King and a short movie from How To Train Your Dragon. UGH AMAZING NIGHTFURY ILU. Also, I will always cry when Mufasa died. T_T

4. Big ass Reese’s and Hershey bars. These were heavy. I didn’t buy them. Covered my face, because my eyes are swollen from work. hehe~

5. Finally scanning my Instax photos and uploading them.
(Here’s one I sent to my ninang as a thank you of sorts for giving me a check on my birthday)

That’s it. On to Thanksgiving then.
