Pho 79 and Frozen Yogurt on a Rainy Day

Sometimes the most unexpected gatherings turn out to be the best ones.

My brother, tinkering with my La Sardina on a gloomy Wednesday afternoon.

Me and my boyfriend have never tried Vietnamese food before and my brother was appalled by this. So we went to Pho 79 near our house and had lunch.

These spring rolls were the bomb!

Added so much sriracha sauce I had a stuffy nose at the end of our meal, lol but it was so good!

I tried the ‘basic’ or beginner pho, the one with rounded pork meatballs and beef strips. Me and Greg ordered the same thing, and my brother ordered something with tripe, which I did not like.

Pho 79 had a little sign that they were selling bubble tea, and we were curious. I got the mango, Greg got the watermelon and my brother ordered green tea. The photos might have made it look pretty, but they weren’t so good :(

Maybe the guy put too much milk, or maybe he was new at making bubble tea, but it just didn’t taste right. There was a frozen yogurt store across the restaurant.

My “creation.”

Me and Greg’ll take another trip to this yogurt place when the weather gets warmer.

To end this post, here is a goofy photo we took together earlier at work:

My Very Own Paradise Falls

Do you remember that scene in Up when Carl and Ellie start saving up for Paradise Falls? (Up still makes me cry, I’m sorry)

Me and Greg were at Target, shopping for stuff to put in my room to make it more organized, when I spotted a lot of piggy banks in one corner. After about five minutes of squealing, I picked the one that I really liked from the whole section:

(The best part of it is that you can even write on it!)

It’s so massive, and so cute too!

I’ve been meaning on saving up for something big, something I can later look back on and think, “It was all worth it.” It just so happens that I want to travel and I thought, why not put aside money for this? So there.

I plan on only putting in quarters so that it’ll take more time to fill it up. All the money that comes from here is to be spent on traveling, preferably with Greg, hehe.

Here’s to me and hoping I fill this baby up ASAP!
